Artist Biography

Carlos Terribili was born in Buenos Aires in 1936. He was known for his large murals and as an illustrator in Argentina. Over his life time he created over 300 of his politically charged murals and they are located in Argentina, Mexico, Peru, Venezuela, Cuba and Mexico. He has worked on illustrating many manuscripts for writers like Jorge L. Borges, Armando Tejada Gomez and Hector Negro. Since 1963 he has alternated his artistic activities with teaching, teaching classes with a living model in "Estímulo de Bellas Artes", one of the oldest institutes in Buenos Aires. He worked up until his death in 2016.
