Stunning arched top David Hickman painting of a single black tree among colorful jungle foliage from the 1970s. In excellent condition and signed by artist.
Artist Biography
David Hickman was born December 2, 1937 in Alexandria, Virginia. He was a Professor of Fine Arts at the University of Houston. He obtained a B.A. from DePauw University, and a M.A. and M.F.A from Northern Illinois University. He came to U of H in 1969, and developed the Masters of Fine Arts program in 1975. Hickman passed away on August 23, 2010 at the age of 72.
