Artist Biography

Elizabeth Fullick was an American artist who studied over seven years abroad in Munich. Afterward, she studied under French artist Jules Dupre and Gustave Courtois. Her style of painting very much reflects a younger Dupre. She captures an installment setting in her portraits that give life to her painted subjects. The combination of representing the harmony of color and space and line all a distinguishing factor in french academic painting. Thought Fullick was most known for her portraiture she was also a landscape painter. She taught drawing and painting at The Staten Island Acadamy.
