Artist Biography

Alyson Ocoma is a Filipino-American visual artist born in Los Angeles in 1990. She spent most of her childhood in the Philippines before returning to the United States. She went on to attend Woodbury University and worked as a designer and photographer eventually leading her to work closely with Tomas Koolhaas on feature length documentaries REM and Cities. Ocoma’s exploration in different practices allows the artist to intimately integrate her spirituality with her multidisciplinary skill-set. Creating site specific installations and abstract paintings while implementing patience, surrendering, and following her intuition. She has exhibited in ntrl Gallery in Los Angeles as well as showcased an installation during musician Starfari’s performance. Her work has been purchased by private collectors throughout California and Texas.
