Artist Biography

Georges Cuvier, also known as Jean Leopold Nicolas Frederic, was french naturalist and zoologist. He is sometimes referred to as the "founding father of paleontology." His work is considered the foundation of vertebrate paleontology. He is known for his prints in the book "Le Regne Animal."
