Artist Biography

Henry J. Rice was born in 1922 in Niagara Falls, NY and was a veteran of World War II. He attended both the University of Buffalo and the Albright Art School. He was the Art Director at the former Buffalo Courier Express, Vice President and Art Director for Square One Ad Agency, and retired from the Niagara Falls Gazette. Following retirement, he owned 'Progressive Arts' in Niagara Falls and 'Back Door Studio' in Portville. He passed away in 2018 in Portville, NY.
