Stormy seascape with crashing waves and a seagull flying overhead. The painting is mainly blue tones. It is signed by the artist and framed in a wooden frame and a burlap matte.

Artist Biography

Richard began his full-time painting career in 1974 after many years of training. Two years of art study in Japan under T. Nakamura and Cheri Murray were followed by academic study in several universities. He studied art at the University of Southern Mississippi and was a graduate of the Famous Artist Schools, Westport Conn. He received his BA degree from Texas Lutheran College which was followed by two years of postgraduate study in art at Southwest Texas State University. He studied at the Art League, New York City under David A. Leffel and Frank Mason. He is a member of several art organizations in Texas and has received numerous awards for his painting in Mississippi and Texas. His studio is located in Converse, Texas just outside of San Antonio.
